If you own your own business or are thinking about starting one, this is the group for you. The first meeting will entail getting to know one another, coming up with a list of related topics and time to see how we can help one another with our knowledge and expertise. We want to touch on topics about all aspects of having your own business everything from legal contracts to marketing 101. Our first meeting will be March 16, 2010, 5:30 pm -6:30 pm at 180 Main. Ever wonder what "Distinctively Dubuque" involves? Join us on March 17th from 11:45am-1:00pm as Shannon Gaherty, Newcomer Relations Coordinator from Greater Dubuque Development and Wendy Wheelock, Executive Director of the NICC Town Clock Center share information about this unique program that teaches participates more about the community. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about continuing education opportunities in the Dubuque Community. The Young Professionals will meet at the Depot Cafe inside the National Mississippi River Museum for this luncheon. Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, chips, tossed salad, cookies and self serve soda will be served. The cost is just $10 for YP members and $15 for not yet members.
YP 2010 March Food Drive

Join the Young Professionals of Dubuque as they host the 4th Annual March Food Drive on March 27th from 5pm-9pm. The event will be held at Courtside Sports Bar & Grill. Event participants will enjoy all-you-can-eat wings for $10 with each can of food he or she donate (up to four cans) will take $1 off the event price. Open to the community, this events goal is to collect non-perishable food items for the Washington neighborhood in Dubuque. Help support YPs efforts by donating raffle items, contributing to the food drive or simply catching the NCAA tournament in full swing while enjoying all-you-can-eat wings with a fun group of people at Courtside on March 27th!
