The Dubuque Junior Chamber and the Young Professionals are hosting a local political event on Wednesday, September 8th from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, located at the Hotel Julien's River Room. Please join us and other area young adults for lunch with former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad. The event will consist of an open forum and questions are welcomed. Cost to attend the event will be $10 per person. Due to limited seating, reservations are required and will be accepted until Wednesday, August 25th at 2 p.m. So reserve your spot today!

YP Fall Networking Cruise

On September 16th YP Dubuque will host a fall social networking event on the river with Dubuque's American Lady. Join us at Catfish Charlie's at 5 pm, and the boat will depart at 5:30 pm, returning by 7 pm. Cost to cruise is $14.95 which includes complimentary pizza, soda and tap beer. RSVP deadline is Friday, September 10.

This may just be one of our best events yet for the wine club.... Please come join us for a very special event hosted by Lea of L. May and Glazer Distributing. We will be enjoying a seven course dinner sampling with coordinating wines this fall evening. There will be a focus on local fall fare i.e. sweet potato ravioli and wines from the Napa and Sonoma regions. So come network, relax and learn in the company of the many wine enthusiast of the YP. YP Symposium - "Strive to Thrive. Find your Balanc

The 4th Annual YP Symposium is approaching and promises to provide you with a variety of tools to help you become successful in balancing your personal and professional life. This year's symposium will be no different. The theme, "Strive to Thrive. Find your Balance" could not be more fitting in this day and age. With the additional stress of the economy, everyone is feeling even more pressure to be all things to all people: our boss, our family, ourselves and our faith. The Symposium with feature four speakers in the areas of Finances, Fitness, Friends and Family, and Faith. One of the featured speakers is Matt Hoover, the Grand Prize winner in Season 2 of "The Biggest Loser" who will touch on fitness and how he overcame many of life's obstacles. The event will conclude with a fun, interactive speaker. A networking reception will also follow at Tony Roma's.
